“ Words cannot even begin to describe my experience at this spot, 5 stars won't even do it justice. To start off, when I went in the place, it was pretty packed, wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to find any seating but fortunately something cleared up for me. The size of the place is pretty nice and is moderately lit to set in a cozy vibe within the restaurant. The selection here is much more varied than what I've seen in Point Brazil, up to the point that I didn't know where to start. Eventually I filled my plate with Seafood yellow rice, steamed veggies, both chicken and roast beef and a plantain for good measure. When I finally sat down to eat, it's been some time that I've had something that held me captive in mind and body. I would compare it to, that one true love of your life fixing you a nice hot meal that she put her whole vertebrae in to where she almost throws her back out. (I'm crazy, I know.) That's what this food tastes like, I've never felt this type of euphoria in awhile it's almost addictive. After my lunch, I came back to the corner to get some dessert. I had my eye on that chocolate on chocolate triple layer cake which wad about $7. I thought it was a tad steep but I was so amazed by the food here I couldn't pass on the cake. It was worth it, the taste was intimate to the senses, the texture was pretty filling, I couldn't eat the whole thing, at least not after the meal I had so I'm having that for later. This place pretty much performed the equivalent of a no hitter in baseball, i couldn't detect any flaws at all. If anything, this place has set an extremely high bar in what I expect out of a Brazilian buffet. There are others in the area I'm itching to try to see how they compare but trust me, YOU WILL SEE ME AGAIN! Eu te amo tanto, nada mais no mundo se compara. ”

“ Ordered: Regular Buffet (~$13) Churrasco BBQ only (~$13) Aya's take: We stopped by for a quick bite and upon entering, we didn't really understand the best way to do the buffet since there aren't many signs up. There's a window/counter in the back right where you can order Churrasco BBQ aka the Brazilian meats. Those are absolutely well worth it. I like that it's weight-based and everything we had was well-seasoned, fresh, and tender. The actual Buffet items weren't that worth it, in my opinion. First of all, most of the food wasn't labeled making it hard to know which items had pork in them. I think people with food allergies might also be concerned about this. Nothing I had was really needed aside from the white rice, black beans, and plantains which are the only 3 I would recommend alongside the meats. Good try but I'd only come back for the meats. ”

“ I've been to Villa Brazil a couple of times, and I'm always surprised by how good it is. Not often would I say I've enjoyed buffets, but they do something different here. You might not always know what it is exactly that you're getting as you dish yourself a plate a food, but you'll always enjoy it. Also, DO NOT sleep on their cakes. Somehow this place not only has good buffet food, but they also have a huge selection of unique cakes that are delicious and surprisingly moist. Make sure you get a slice or two for at the end of your meal, or just to take home for later. ”

Chicken skewers with bacon were outstanding both in flavor and in screen presence for Instagram. And if you're not feeling carnivorous there are enough salads to keep things interesting. The sleeper hit was a half a pear in a sweet, reddish formulation. ”

“ This is my favorite Brazilian "home cooking" spot in all of New York. They serve food here that high-end Brazilian restaurants, like Fogo de Chao and Plataforma , do not sell. Examples: warm corn pudding, roasted chicken hearts, cod fish casserole, shrimp casserole and braised oxtail, joelho (ham/cheese roll) The meats are always sizzling at the Churra window. The prices are $7.99/pound for buffet only, $9.99- for BBQ and buffet and $10.99- for BBQ only. You don't have to pay the premium at Fogo de Chao or Plataforma to get the full rodízio experience. Today I paid about $20 for Sunday dinner and dessert. Batches of rice, beans and other Brazilian dishes are put out all the time. There is a great selection of Brazilian desserts, such: Bavarian Cream Cake Prestígio Chocolate Coconut Cake Coconut Cake with Caramel Tapioca Cake Passionfruit Mousse and Chocolate Cake Pineapple and Coconut Parfait Passionfruit Parfait This list is not even half of the desserts that are sold here, and each one costs no more than $6 including tax. My favorite buffet table selections are: Corn Pudding (warm, contains lots of corn kernels) Sweet Plantains Shrimp Casserole My favorite Churrasco BBQ meats are: Picanha (rump sirloin) Chicken Hearts Lamb Steak Frango (small cuts of highly-seasoned chicken) Chicken Sausage My favorite salad bar selections are: Tropical Fruit Salad (immersed in a creamy passionfruit and condensed milk sauce) Joelho (ham/cheese roll) Pão de Queijo (cheese bread) My favorite desserts are: Brazilian Flan with Plum Sauce Strawberry Shortcake with Caramel Beer and wine are available. Wine is $4.50/glass. Domestic beer is $4.00/glass; International beer is $4.50. Fresh juices are sold--Passionfruit, Pineapple, Mango, Guanabana, Açaí, etc. They cost anywhere from $4.99 to $5.75/glass. There are no waiters--only chefs, food attendants and cashiers. There are two tv screens on opposite ends of the dining room that are located above the tables. One tv displays Brazilian programming; the other, American. There are about 44 seats available in relatively small chairs. I spend no more than $25 for Sunday dinner including dessert and a drink. I was so impressed with this restaurant that I added it to my Yelp LI "Brazilian or Portuguese" Collection. I recommend that those who like "back home" Brazilian food try Villa Brazil Café Grill at least once, especially on a Sunday when there are plenty of free street parking spaces available. ”
